Unilever South Africa: (Goods Company)

Unilever is a global company with locations in South Africa. They sell fast-moving consumer goods and aim to make sustainable living commonplace.

Unilever Leadership Internship Programme:

Unilever offers a four week business project internship that gives candidates access to business leaders, professional training, coaching and mentoring as well as a competitive salary.

Details about the Unilever Internship programme:

Locations: Durban and Johannesburg.
Duration: Four Weeks – During the January and June University vacation periods.
Eligibility: Any student studying towards a bachelor’s degree or higher from second year onwards. (All degrees and faculties welcome)

Reed Business Information:

RBI provides information, analytics and data solutions in diversified solutions to informational and statistical industries as well as other industries.

Graduate Scheme:

RBI offers a carefully planned 2-3 year programme that provides candidates with what they need to fulfil their potential. The company embraces a specifically tailored training programme so as to accommodate diversified individuality. The programme provides a mix of classroom and on-the-job training, which functions alongside daily real-world experiences.

Details about the Graduate Scheme:

Locations: Brooklyn, South Africa. Johannesburg, South Africa. Oranjeville, South Africa.
Duration: two to three years.
Eligibility: eligibility criteria unclear, site encourages a request for further information.
Note: Programme typically begins in December/January with assessment centres February – April and start dates in early September.

Eventerprise is a global business with locations in South Africa. They connect reviewed event businesses to private or corporate clients. Their objective is to do for the events industry what Uber did for transportation services and what TripAdvisor did for the travel industry.

Government Internships – Internships SA:

Internships SA is an online platform that lists the various government internships. Most sectors of government have internships every year. The fields, requirements, stipends and application processes differ.

“All departments of government support the labour laws, equity Act and seek young talented candidates for a variety of internships.
-Unemployed graduates, people with disability and those from previously disadvantaged communities are all welcome to apply.”

STATS SA – Statistics South Africa:

Statistics South Africa is an initiative that offers statistics and information in various areas.

They offer two-year internships in various fields.

Qualifying criteria:

You must be an unemployed graduate aged between 20-35 years.

You must have completed a degree/national diploma (NQF 6) or honours/master’s degree in the listed disciplines/fields of study from accredited institutions of higher learning.

You must be a South African citizen.

You must not have participated in an internship in the public service.
